Ixchel Valiente

I am a performer, writer, and instructor based in Los Angeles. I am also a huge advocate for employing arts and creativity in educational spaces. I've been very lucky to have had the opportunity to work in performance (theater, voice-over acting, etc.) while also doing things like assisting college students with learning phonetics through movement or teaching dance to children of all ages. Doing both, I have seen how tackling any subject with creativity and fun can make it approachable to all. As an instructor, I focus on making lessons accessible and fun for students (love making silly character voices!), especially for those who are new to what we are learning. I also believe in adapting to a student's strengths and and allowing them to bring their own unique ideas to the board!
