Meet Dawn

Houston South Franchise Owner

My daughter Aleiss, grandson Xavier and I live in Dickinson, Texas. Aleiss and I enjoy supporting Xavier in his sporting events and guiding his personal, spiritual and educational growth. We'll always be the rowdy, proud ones cheering him on. I also enjoy crafting, decorating for all event types and participating in community and Faith events. My family settled in this area after I relocated from Florida over 25 years ago. Aleiss went to school in the Clear Lake and Dickinson areas and graduated from the University of Houston, and I worked in the NASA community. We've enjoyed being a part of and making this community our home. Story Time Chess Houston South serves Houston, Dickinson, League City, Galveston, Texas City, Webster, Friendswood, Pearland, Sugar Land, Missouri City, Stafford and Fresno.

FAQ's

From schedules to sign-ups, here are the most common questions parents ask us about our lessons. Still curious? Head to our FAQ page for the full scoop.

How can I register my child for school-based programs?
Most school programs are registered through your school or PTA. If we are not there yet, email houstonsouth@storytimechess.com to bring us in!
Do you partner with schools?
Yes! We partner with schools, libraries, and learning centers to bring engaging, curriculum-aligned enrichment programs.

Is there a commitment for school sessions?
If for any reason you do not wish to continue after the first lesson we will refund you in full. So the first lesson is very much like a trial lesson in this regard. Please note that after the second lesson we consider this a commitment and the full semester is non-refundable.

Who do I contact about school partnerships?
Email houstonsouth@storytimechess.com and we'll get right back to you (Mon-Fri, 9am - 5pm CST).
