Meet Sera & Welton

Metro Atlanta Franchise Owners

Welton and Sera are newlyweds who fell in love over board games, storytelling, silliness, and, of course, good food. During their dating years, Welton would often “court” Sera with board games, and occasionally let her win! Games and friendly competition became a fun way for them to discover each other’s quirks and personalities, but it was their shared love of stories that truly brought them together. Today, they love exploring Atlanta, trying new restaurants, spending time with family and friends, and finding new ways to play and learn together.

Sera recently moved to Atlanta from Los Angeles, while Welton is a proud Atlanta native. Although Sera is new to the city, she has quickly fallen in love with Atlanta’s rich history and its unique role as a hub for transportation, innovation, business, and social change. Together, they are excited to build roots in a city that values community, diversity, and opportunity. Through Story Time Chess, they look forward to becoming part of Atlanta’s vibrant network of families, schools, and educators, and helping bring the joy of storytelling, chess, and meaningful connection to children throughout the community.

FAQ's

From schedules to sign-ups, here are the most common questions parents ask us about our lessons. Still curious? Head to our FAQ page for the full scoop.

How can I register my child for school-based programs?
Most school programs are registered through your school or PTA. If we’re not there yet, email metroatlanta@storytimechess.com to bring us in!

Do you partner with schools?
Yes! We partner with schools, libraries, and learning centers to bring engaging, curriculum-aligned enrichment programs.

Is there a commitment for school sessions?
If for any reason you do not wish to continue after the first lesson we will refund you in full. So the first lesson is very much like a trial lesson in this regard. Please note that after the second lesson we consider this a commitment and the full semester is non-refundable.

Who do I contact about school partnerships?
Email metroatlanta@storytimechess.com (Mon–Fri, 9am – 5pm EST).
